A modern twist on a classic steakhouse. The Metropolitan Club is bent on bringing sophistication to the 'burbs with their innovative menu, extensive winelist, and great people watching. The Met's menu meshes standard steakhouse items with high-concept touches. This approach yields dry-aged cuts of sirloin, plated with colorful spears of carrots or turnips and squiggles of beet alioli.

The history of the restaurant starts in 1959 when the family first opened a seafood market named Legal Sea Foods because customers could use Legal Stamps (the predecessor to S&H Green Stamps) to buy food. In 1968 the market was so successful, the owners smartly decided to open a restaurant. Good idea. There are now over 30 restaurants spread along the East coast as far south as Florida.
The servers here are also better on the whole. A little pricey, but the portions are big enough that you could probably have enough left over for lunch the next day.
The wait on a Thursday, Friday or weekend night at this restaurant is AWFUL. It can take up to 30 minutes to be seated and it isn't like the typical mall restaurant where you can wander around stores until your can be seated. Instead you can sit outside of the restaurant and get stared down by everyone in the parking lot.
