The runners have just finished the hills of Newton and are so happy they are done and are heading into the last leg of the race.

If you have paced yourself correctly, you can begin flying by people from 21 to the finish, as the last 5 miles is a 230 foot descent. If you have NOT paced yourself correctly, hang on ! Mile 21-22 drops 80 feet, and the roar of the Boston College kids is wonderful ! As you crest the hill at Boston College, you can get your first glimpse of the downtown syscrapers and often get a nice breeze.

You are in Boston College country here and have crowds of students, sometimes 8 deep at pockets, screaming and cheering along this mile. For someone that wants to be able to see it all, this might not be a good place for you, but it sure is lively and fun.
